About this Experience

The Gorilla Trail Cultural Walk is a guided conservation and cultural experience taking place along the community boundary zones of Volcanoes National Park. This experience does not include gorilla trekking itself but instead focuses on the ecosystems, communities, and conservation systems that protect one of the world’s most important biodiversity reserves. Guests walk alongside local guides and community members who share insights into conservation practices, human-wildlife coexistence, and the cultural relationship between surrounding villages and the protected park environment.
