The Kapchorwa Weekend Getaway is a 3-day, 2-night highland immersion based at Home of Friends Guesthouse in Uganda's Mount Elgon region. Designed for travelers who want a meaningful Elgon experience without multi-day trekking, this package blends easy to moderate outdoor activity with relaxed cultural engagement. Day 1 — Arrival & Cultural Introduction Afternoon check-in, three-course dinner, and an evening campfire storytelling session with Sebei Cultural Storytellers. Day 2 — Highland Nature & Mosopisiek Land An optional morning run or guided walk on the Champion's Trail, followed by a full-day excursion to Mosopisiek Land in Kween District. Explore the village, learn bamboo weaving, take in the Yatui viewpoint, and discover hidden waterfalls and caves. Packed lunch included. Day 3 — Waterfall Walk & Departure A morning guided walk to Kaptokwoi Waterfall with a picnic-style breakfast before late morning check-out. What's included Two nights single occupancy at Home of Friends, breakfast and dinner daily, one packed lunch, professional native guide, cultural storytelling session, community contributions, and boda transfers where applicable. Transportation to and from Kapchorwa is not included.
