The Kapchorwa Wilderness Hike combines raw nature with a rare glimpse into the lives of Kapchorwa’s modern cave-dwellers - cattle keepers who have consciously chosen to live close to their cows and the rhythms of the wild. On the long trek to their remote cave homes, you’ll pass untouched waterfalls, quiet villages and slopes rich in medicinal trees and plants. Your native guide grew up running through these hills and knows their stories, trails and traditions by heart. This is a true off-the-beaten-path adventure. At 25 km, with steep sections and varying terrain, it is only suitable for fit and experienced hikers looking for a full-day immersion in Kapchorwa’s wilderness.
