About this Experience

Are you planning to attend the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE)? Then think about signing up for this experience that takes you to the vibrant streets of Kampala city for a Rolex food tour and downtown guided market experience. This Rolex Tour is a special version which is offered by Adventure with Locals - a female led company that conducts guided community tours across Kampala, Uganda. Together with Equera, a distribution and integration platform for community based tourism, they have crafted this tour to give a chance to visitors who will be attending POATE to have an insight of the unique authentic community based experiences available in Uganda. While on this guided tour led by a local female guide, you will also immerse yourself with the day to day street life of Kampala, a city known for its lively markets in the downtown. This is not a commoditized food tour, but instead a way to experience life like a local. You move through the city the way locals do, stopping where the crowds are, eating what they eat, and talking to the people behind the food. Here you can witness the diverse range of products being sold, from crafts and clothing to fresh produce. We sample some of the delicious fresh fruits, taste a Kikomando, and other Ugandan specialties on our "Street Food Delights" tour. By the end you will have eaten better, become immersed, and seen more of the real Kampala with memories to take back home at the end of this guided tour. We’re offering the tour at a discounted price for POATE, and we would love for you to join us!
